The Pacer is improving with the new V8 engine – Phillip Island 2019

The beloved Valliant Pacer is again proving its muscle with the new V8. The Philip Island round last weekend saw the Pacer happily sit in the middle of the field without any duress on the motor or the car. In fact the car was held back due to further suspension set up requirements which are being further enhanced this week. Cameron Tilley will now commence with testing track days to further enable a better set up before each race. As we know the car needs to be finely turned for each race track. Cameron was achieving speeds of 265km per hour down the strait at Phillip Island and was holding the car back. “I just didn’t want to push the car to hard with the set up not just quite right”. We all know what we can achieve in thFB5DB266-D31B-44AA-80FC-D4CAF430B950is car, but we really need to do this properly. Unfortunately, Cameron had a tyre issue for the last race and had a DNF registered against his name. Again “I’m not going to travel over 250km on a dud tyre” said Cameron after the race meet. So its off to Winton for the next round of the TCM. We hope to see you there.
