Cameron “Giant Killer” Tilley has done it again!
During qualifying for the four race Touring Car Masters weekend at Victoria’s Winton circuit, the driver of the AnglomOil Valiant Pacer has scored a blistering lap time of 1 minutes 31.9 seconds!
What does that mean?
Out of the field of 20 V8-powered Classic race cars, the lone six-cylinder car (which is also bigger and heavier than the smaller Mustangs, Camaros, Monaros and Torana’s) has set the 6th fastest time!
In fact, if Cameron had managed to shave a mere 0.9 seconds off his lap he would have grabbed fifth place.
Cameron was only 2.9 seconds behind pole position.
His season of ‘over achievement’ is continuing with the Chrysler hemi’ straight six continuing to set outstanding track times.
There will be two races at the flat rural racing circuit on Saturday and two more on Sunday, with races shown on FoxSports.
Conditions are cold and blustery with occasional rain.
