2nd At Tatts Finke Desert Race

Congratulations to the AnglomOil SXS Race Team for coming 2nd in class at the 2018 Tatts Finke Desert Race between Alice Springs and the remote township of Finke.

Driver Nathan Chivers and co-driver Scott O’Connor crossed the line just 10 minutes behind the winner after a gruelling return distance over rugged desert outback trails and huge dunes.

The AnglomOil Can Am Maverick Turbo finished Day One in 2 hours 24 minutes which was 1 minute ahead of the eventual winner, however on the return leg to Alice Springs on Day Two they clocked 4 hours 53 minutes to the shorter 4 hours 44 minutes of the winning buggy – which had a bigger engine.

This result continues to build Nathan’s profile as one of Australia’s top SXS drivers.
