Swimming Or Racing?

Torrential rain turned the Wakefield Park Raceway near Goulburn into a lake and unfortunately it spelt disaster for Frank Amoroso in his Anglomoil Kenworth at the final round of the Super Truck Racing season.

Frank slid off the end of the main straight in a giant rooster tail of spray, hit the water logged outfield and slid into the tyre barrier. Seconds later another competitor left the circuit at the same place and ploughed into the back of him.

The Kenworth was looking the worse for wear and Chris Mifsud and the boys had a fair bit of work ahead of them to straighten up the rig.

The weekend got brighter at the end with Frank working his way through the tightly packed field in the last race of the year to pick up third place.
