Brad Tilley Makes Newcastle His Own

The bright green Falcon XY GTHO Of Brad Tilley has had an enjoyable weekend at the Newcastle 500 wrapping up the weekend with a big 6th place.

Displaying Anglomoil branding on the bonnet and boot, the big Ford (making only its second appearance since a two year absence) clocked 9th fastest in qualifying from the field of 24 cars. Brad could have improved on that but was stuck behind a slower car and the very narrow street circuit didn’t provide overtaking opportunities.

In race 1 Brad crossed the line in 10th place and then in race 2 shot ahead and mixed it with the front runners.

He described the new circuit as being very rough and the undulations on what are usually dirty roads caused the big race cars to buck and jump.
